Hello Brides and Grooms to Be!

I recently had a dilemma when Kevin and I got married last May. You may be going through something very similar…to hire a planner or not?  I am a very detail-oriented person and often want to do everything myself.

I will never forget Kevin telling me, “I want you to be a Bride, not an event planner on our wedding day.” Boy, was he right.

All of these thoughts went through my mind…

Who is going to make sure everything is setup the exact way I want it?  Who is going to set out the programs and memory table? Who is going to help coordinate our guests arriving and exiting? Who is going to line up our wedding party and all of the kids in the wedding? Who is going to help make sure the centerpieces and small details are placed just the way I want them? … A Wedding Planner.

A month before the wedding, we decided to hire a day-of coordinator and she was a life saver!

Yes,  a family member or friend can handle some of these details. But do you really want someone close to you worrying about all of the little things, instead of celebrating this special moment and day with you?

A planner can make the quick or difficult decisions based on an understanding of your vision. They are the ones who can…

• Run to the craft store or the grocery store if something runs out
• Keep the band on schedule
• Make sure your guests are fed at the same time
• Line up the wedding party
• Help the groom and groomsmen put on their boutonnieres (because let’s be honest, we’ve all seen the self-pinned flowers falling to the side of their tuxes)
• Have the emergency kit for bad breath, a stain, or an unfortunate rip in a dress

With a planner, you should have the option to pick a package that best meets your needs and will make your day perfect.

I have worked with clients that do not care about any details and want me to handle everything. I have also worked with clients that know every last detail, love to plan but have a hard time putting it all together.
